about

Karen Soleau was born and raised on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Always a creative spirit, she made art from anything she could get her hands on. After graduating from Parsons School of Design, she created a career as a freelance graphic artist and illustrator. Since then, Karen has woven a heart centered business– Sunwater Studio, from her passion for photographic memories, great design, and storytelling.

"I am continually honored to share in some of the most treasured moments in people's lives, and as a result, constantly reminded of why I believe that love is truly what memories are made of.

Designing artful photo books that evoke happiness to everyone who turns a page, is probably the most rewarding work I've ever had the pleasure of being involved in. My mission is to help people organize their memories, document their stories, and create timeless, tangible keepsakes to be treasured for generations to come."

Bouncing between a life as a photo professional and a visual artist, you can usually find Karen combing beaches, painting, or rowing on the Indian River. Life is good, indeed.
